SVA Primary

SVA Primary is a primary school-based programme that allows children to democratically vote on an impact project to bring to life. Using the Find. Build. Act. Share. model, students develop their project management skills while collaborating to service a need they are passionate about in their community.

Schools are provided with an SVA Schools Kit - a blend of tactile, physical resources accompanied by an online digital support network for teachers. These kits are delivered through our partnership with School Kit.

Highlighting students' personal soft skills and abilities to work both in a team and independently, the SVA Schools Kit teaches about the stages of a project and the elements that have to happen in order to be successful. Children are given ‘real life’ roles and learn to work together, culminating in a community based volunteering event.

We are working to secure funding to enable us to continue delivering this programme in the 2024 school year. In the meantime, if you’re a teacher, you can still register for a free kit with School Kit directly.

SVA Primary

3150 classrooms across 1335 Schools across Aotearoa have taken part since the beginning of this programme in 2017, reaching over 100,000 students.
