For our project, Room 10 travelled to Goat Island, a protected Marine Reserve. When we got there, we went to explore some rock pools and tidy up the beach. In the rock pools, we saw kina, starfish, crabs, and seaweed.

After exploring, we learned heaps about taking care of the environment and conservation. We talked about ways to protect the beach. We also got to have a play in the touch tank. There were eleven-armed starfish, clams, spiky kina, and enormous sea cucumbers. The sea sponges were bright and colourful.

We learned so much about marine life. It was a fun day and we want to go back there again one day.
