We have been on a singing outreach where we sang alongside the people in our local elderly care facility.
Some of the student’s comments follow:

“Their wrinkly old faces portrayed whichever emotion they were feeling. Some were lit up with joy whereas others found the old memories overwhelming and tried to avoid us.”
“As we walked into the room, the elderly looked like a bundle of joy awaiting our songs.”
“When a lady smiled at me, it lit up my world.”
“I walked in feeling nervous until I talked to some people.”
“I enjoyed seeing an old friend. It made my day.”
“We feel good to have done this, to make the old people happy and light up their faces.”
“The feeling was great when you saw the look on their happy faces.”
