Our class brainstormed how they could be volunteers and what it would look like. We decided to volunteer at the local Pakeke Centre. We will be creating special cards and performing to the elderly.

This has been a powerful experience for the children, as it led us to talk about members of the community that would appreciate and benefit from voluntary assistance.

With more time, the students were keen to research the concept of a free library in the middle of town at our local green patch. This is something for this group of children to consider for next year.
