TAPORA SCHOOL

Tapora School

We combined this project with our student’s service to their environment.

The students participated in some group activities; catching pests within their community (of the animal kind), and small group inquiry topics of what they specifically could do to help the environment. These ranged from planting flowers in the school garden to encourage bees, to designing signs to warn beach visitors of our local endangered bird, the Fairy Tern.

Our whole school also spent a day planting native trees at a local conservation area called, Atiu Creek.
