Our class is a very special class with lots of caring students. The students embarked on a project after hearing a story about babies in Africa who went home with nothing after being born. We wondered if this was the same in our part of the world. We found out there was a need for blankets for babies in hospitals here, so we decided to make a blanket or two.
The students first had to learn to knit and found it was much harder than they first imagined. We also needed supplies of wool and needles to knit with.
This project has taken many hours and we haven’t completed it, but hopefully we will by the end of the year.
