Our students recognised the need in our community for a little extra “help” in the food/essentials category and called together their platoon and sorted out different areas of the school to provide different items.
Other troops were detailing boxes to put items in, others were sorting items to make sure there was an equal share amongst all boxes, others were in charge of wrapping. We then asked our local Bible in Schools leader to ensure these boxes made it to those who need it most.
Our Volunteer Army set out to provide 6 or 7 boxes and ended up with 15 boxes!
“The Flexibles” from Rosebank School (Balclutha) donated and collected food products to make huge hampers as part of their Student Volunteer Army project.
