Room 4 started volunteering at the Orokonui Eco-Sanctuary by clearing over 500 leaves and sticks!
For another project, we headed down to our local beach and had a big clean up using spades, bags, and buckets.
To add to our volunteering efforts, during conservation week each student was asked to do a job on their street to help the environment.
Our Room 2 Port Chalmers SVA project was about collecting food for the less fortunate families of Dunedin. We have collected many different long-lasting foods such as canned fruits/veggies, Noodles, Canned Tomatoes and many more.
There are about 150 food items that we have collected. We have a total of 25 kids who all took part in the fundraiser. The students advertised by hanging posters around school and in the local 4 Square, on the school Facebook page, and in the newsletter.
We think it has been a very worthwhile project, which will benefit Dunedin families.
