Otago SVA

Who we are

We are excited to launch the Otago Student Volunteer Army Club in 2021.

As students from both University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic we come from a variety of volunteering backgrounds.

Our mission is to enhance the culture of meaningful volunteering in Otago, bridging the gap between students in Dunedin and their wider community.

Our aim

We aim to facilitate a greater integration between students and the wider Otago community.

Our vision is to complement and add to the spirit of volunteering in Dunedin by providing even more opportunities for students to contribute to our community.

We strive to work with existing organisations who share our values and goals, allowing us to provide valuable volunteering opportunities for students in Dunedin.

Our 2021 plan

The Otago SVA will provide a range of projects to tertiary students ranging from addressing environmental concerns in the wider Otago area to connecting with our vulnerable members such as the elderly and those with disabilities.

Stay tuned for more updates regarding our key events for the year.
