Omanu Rangers from Omanu School

Room 24 and Room 10 from Omanu School undertook a joint project to make dog toys for dog shelters out of recycled materials.

We will be donating our finished toys to 2 local dog rescue shelters – the Tauranga SPCA and the Western BOP shelter.

We learnt lots of new skills and really enjoyed the whole process from brainstorming an initial idea to researching types of toys right through to learning how to make them.

Our students also gained an awareness of the value in thinking of others – especially the 4-legged kind.
