The Ohinewai Green Team picked up roadside rubbish for their SVA project.

Having the students organise, and then really commit to the rubbish pick up in our small community was a pleasure to see!

They took their jobs very seriously, especially the Safety Officers when we were walking along and crossing the road. Everyone was shocked at the amount and different sorts of rubbish they found.

It was a great eye-opener for them and it made an impact on their learning and on their commitment to helping preserve our environment.
