We have a beautifully planted zigzag walkway which a lot of students use to get to school. It was always maintained by a local retired resident, but a couple of years ago he suffered a stroke and has been unable to work on it. It needed lots of cutting back, weeding, fertilising and watering – a great project for our students!
Don King was delighted that we were able to help restore the walkway to how he used to keep it before he became ill. His daughter, Sally, brought him from his rest home to watch as the students worked, and they were able to talk to him about his pet project. The students worked hard on a hot day.
