The Helpful Hinds Heroes wanted to host an outdoor movie & picnic night to bring the Hinds community closer together.

It was looking like bad weather, so we went with our back up plan of using the community hall. People started trickling in, and the hall was soon filled with picnic rugs, families and chit-chat. Kids enjoyed playing the games the class made at the Mid Canterbury Technology Centre. After games, it was time for the movie!

The class took ownership of the organisation – phoning people to book venues & equipment, working in teams and sharing ideas.
