Our class held two community events motivated by Student Volunteer Army.

1 – The children organised and held a cultural food festival where they volunteered their time to cook meals for others.

2 – A group of students volunteered to pick up rubbish for the ‘Proud to be Paeroa’ group, where they cleaned up along the roadside and entrance to the town.

The students were engaged and motivated and proud of their contributions to the community.

We learnt about different cultures and traditions around the world and wanted to bring this new learning and awareness to our community. We held a food festival catering for our community and showed how much we had learnt through the cooking of food.
