Room 11’s inquiry focus for Term 3 was ‘My part in the community’. This fits in well with the Student Volunteer Project as it enabled the students to get involved.

We walked down to our local river and decided to help clean-up as much as we could over a two day period.

What was even better, was that our middle and senior school were also learning the same thing, and so were the rest of the schools in the Tamaki cluster.

It was great fun and the students learnt to appreciate the natural environment more.
