This term we decided to adopt our local park. We worked together to weed the gardens, pick up litter, and plant some flowers.
It was a really fun day and everyone worked really hard.
We decided as a class to beautify our community. Some of us went to the local park and did a general tidy up. Others stayed at school and cleared out our very overgrown gardens, weeded all around our school, and then planted some potted colour to liven things up.
We have since added our little garden sunflowers to our class gardens and the results are beautiful gardens that the children are maintaining regularly and taking a real sense of pride in.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the day and our students loved having set roles. The badges were a treasured keepsake and are still worn on some uniforms to this day.
