ESKDALE SCHOOL

Eskdale School

We changed our focus slightly after one of our class members was admitted to Starship Hospital. The children organised and ran stalls and had a dress up day and raised an amazing $1050.50 for the Starship Foundation.

It was amazing what they achieved and the whole school is very proud of them.

Another two of our classes went to Guthrie Smith in Tutira in September and planted trees that we had grown from seedlings at school. We donated the trees to our NZ native area after we had attended camp there over a year ago. Our students developed an understanding about how people view and use places differently to safeguard and protect our environment, as well as the importance of giving back to the community. It was a great experience for both our classes.
