Who we are
We are the 2021 Ara branch of the Student Volunteer Army.
We are in our first year of being established and we are excited to bring the SVA community to Ara.
We are a welcoming and kind group looking to grow and expand.
Our aim
Our aims as a club are aligned with the UN Sustainability Goals.
We are particularly focused on quality education, reducing inequality, reducing waste and consumption, and taking climate action.
Our 2021 plan
This year our major event is a city-wide clean up of the Christchurch CBD. There will be an opportunity at the event to learn more about the issues and solutions to rubbish and consumption.
We will also run smaller events (such as clothes swaps and beeswax wrap workshops) throughout the year. We will also be supporting other SVA events in the Ōtautahi region.
