A boy in our class by the name of Jacob Lowen has his own voluntary service project, where he creates ‘boredom buster bags’ for children who are in the hospital. We decided we would contribute some treasures for Jacob’s bags, by painting our own Tron rocks.

As a class we have painted many Tron rocks, which Jacob will include in his bags. We wrote to Captain Compost, who kindly donated the rocks to us, and Resene gave us an awesome discount on paint. This project was rewarding and satisfying, knowing that our rocks will be treasured by many children who end up in hospital.
